EDGAR HOFFMAN SHAFER, born 1916 in Loughman, F1a. , died 1974, in Sarasota, F1a. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 1953 in Seminole Lodge No. 304. Occupation - Lumberman. Master of the Lodge at age 44.

IN MEMORY - W. Bro. Edgar Hoffman Sharer died May 28, 1974, in Sarasota, Fla. W. Bro. Edgar, a lumberman, as was his Father and his Fathers Father, grew up on saw mill - saw dust pile. It is safe to surmise that he knew more about grades and types of lumber than a majority of people in the business.

            W. Bro. Edgar was co-manager of a local lumber company for several years. The last 14 years of his life was spent a traveling salesman for a Florida based wholesale Lumber Co. He could be character1zed as a soft-spoken, generous, sincere person.

W. Bro. Edgar lost his wife by death, less than two years before his demise and it is felt that grief contributed to his death.
