PREFACE  (2nd Committee)

During the middle 1970’s one of our Grand Masters, at Grand Lodge Session, proposed and encouraged each Lodge to prepare a History of their Lodge and file a copy in the fire-proof vault in Jacksonville Florida. As basis for the proposal, which fell just short of a request, because of Fire, Tornados, Hurricanes, Floods, and Vandalism, all Records and History of some Lodges have been destroyed and lost forever.  Accordingly, a copy of our original "Fragments and Recollections" is now deposited in the vault in Jacksonville, and this "First Addition" supplement will be added thereto.

Our own Lodge Building used by Seminole Lodge and Acacia chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, is occupied, on average during the year, approximately 20-hours per week. During the remaining 148- hours the building is unattended and a short circuit in electrical appliances or malicious vandalism could result in disaster before anyone in authority heard about it.

The Grand Masters proposal has merit and should be adopted.

This first addition is dedicated to Worshipful Brother John Hutchinson Sr. and those Brethren who made sizable cash donations making possible an early pay-off of the mortgage on the Temple, and whose names are inscribed on a Plaque proudly displayed in the lobby of our
